Wildlife Photographer of the Year
During the winter break, one of our lensa team members went to Bristol in completion of his UK trip. As he walked around the city, he noticed there is a Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Bristol Museum. What’s more, it is free! So, here goes a little bit of his feedback regarding the exhibition which we thought would be worth of sharing:
“It’s better be worth it“. That is what I said as I came across the exhibition poster. As a graphic designer, I don’t think the poster buy me to go to the exhibition. But don’t judge a book by its cover, so I went to the exhibition the next day before I leave Bristol.
Amazingly, first few pictures pinned my shoes down the floor. They were just using budget DSLR and even the Canon Powershot A610! Later, I was astounded to know that they were there for the ten years and below, 11-14 and 15-17 years old categories. Now I believe that anyone can take good pictures.
Well, pro is a pro. They will always amazed people with their shots. The Polar Sunrise by Miguel Lasa (Spain) is my favourite. It is simply a fresh and new perspective in photography. I also like Night Griffon by Safie Al Khaffaf (Russia) and both of the overall winners.
Overall, I highly recommend all photographers to go and check out the exhibition. This will keep your passion alive. It’s really worth it!
