Flickr: Best of March 09
Starting this month, we thought it would be worth mentioning our LENSA flickr group members in our website. Oh, for you who hasn’t realized it yet, we’ve reached 101 members as we write this article. Hurray!
In this LENSA Flickr members best of March 2009, our editors will choose their favourite photographers/pictures from LENSA’s flickr group. This is one way of showing that we value you as our readers/visitors/supporters and more. Regardless of the current economic and political situation, we thank you for your support!
So, without wasting your time. Here are this month’s editors pick!
Muhammad Ibrahim Azmi (aka Momad)
“Well I chose Momad because of his journalistic approach and his story telling technique in posting his world wide adventures. He captures the essence of the place visited while also giving a view (stories) which we would never have guessed without it. Momad posts his pictures a batch at a time, and I personally enjoy going through the pictures in an order following the story line. You should if you haven’t tried it out yet.
And there’s something magical about his people shots as well, showing how they live in their own culture, while somehow juxtaposing elements together to incorporate an interesting image. For that, I present you with Momads flickr pics as my favourite pictures of the month. Well done mate!” ; ) - Shamin
Afieq Radzuan
“I’m not choosing him because of the caught the beauty but rather his candidness that able to make people smile while his focusing the camera. People know that his taking picture, but yet most of them smiling. He didn’t just capture girls but also the old man playing violin and the policeman.
I asked him what did he tell anything to the policeman. He said nothing. He just took and they smile. That’s why I chose him to be member of the month. Apart from that, I believe he’s a funny guy because he said that his camera will autofocus if any beautiful girls pass by. The only function that camera manufacturer like Canon, Nikon or even Leica can’t produce until now. Congrats buddy!” – Rafie
LENSA Worth Mention
- Azfarizan (aka Faris_FD) for his wonderful hot air balloon – Must see!
- Nuryasmin for her green Holga – Our editor, Rafie thought it was a toy. He is absolutely n00b in photography!
- Ammarhood for his Steven-Gerrad – We thought we love the title of the picture, it’s uniquely honest. Yes, title of a picture is important!
So, keep sharing lads and lass! If you haven’t joined our LENSA flickr group yet, please do so and share your picture by sending them to LENSA pool – here’s a tutorial on how to send it! Enjoy and happy snapping!
