Reader Question: Vintage Style
Wed, Oct 7, 2009
Few days we’ve started the “Ask LENSA” section, in which you can ask us anything you like. So, this is the first.
Question
How can we adjust so that our picture can be like as below:
Answer
Based on our knowledge and experience, we could categorize this picture to have a “vintage” feel. In design, you will come across this style and colour use here and there. For example, colourlovers.com has compiled the Esquire magazine cover design that use the vintage colour and style.
We don’t know the EXACT colour adjustment to achieve this style, you might want to check out this compilation of the Ultimate Collection of Useful Photoshop Action.
Basically, what the Photoshop Action does is that you have a set of things that you will do to the image to achieve the final product. All your action will be recorded and stored. What’s good about it, if you are doing the same set of things to other image. You can recall the action (or ask Photoshop to repeat the action) with just a press of a hot key or shortcut (any button combination on your keyboard of your choice). Easy?
Now the choice is yours. We hope you will find it useful! Oh by the way, Photoshop Action is one of the shortcut tool in design. We’ve been using it to resize image : ) Most of the time.
Have a good day and let us know the results! Cheers!
